Boys flip flops are usually an inexpensive and laid back fashion statement. Every summer you can’t walk more than a few feet outside without seeing someone in flip flops. This includes both boys and girls, but this article is going to focus entirely on boy flip flops, including a few really cool styles and maybe a few you haven’t seen before.

When I walk into various shoe stores, even if it is the winter, I always find myself checking out the flip flops and sandals. There are so many hot and edgy styles, and they are usually so cheap, that I can’t seem to help myself. Since I’m not allowed to buy anymore for myself, I have resorted to buying every boy flip flop I can find, for my son.

Here are a few of my most recent buys:

Sanuk Who’s Afraid Sandal – these canvas flip flops have that ultra laid back feel, with a stressed thong for that worn in look. Your son can be styling at the beach, or strolling down the boardwalk in these flip flops. They have a really soft footbed that will keep his feet relaxed with each step.

Diesel Maya Flip Flop – these bad boys are pretty simple, but they have some funky colors that are ultra cool. They look really hip with a pair of colorful boardshorts or even a pair of canvas shorts (just watch your colors here).

Happy Giddy Flip Flops (Melissa & Doug) – if your son is younger, these striped flip flops would be just what the cool dr. ordered! They have some really bright and happy colors, and a smiling green bug on the thongs. Any little kid would love these.

My son has trouble deciding which one of these flip flops to wear each day, which means his dad did a great job of picking them out – so you can follow in my footsteps and be a cool dad, or just go buy some lame sandals!
